I read this article about exercising #empathy as a leader in your organization, specifically when leading an internal change. It says that out of 69% of survey respondents that were planning on leading a change, "50% of these same execs said they hadn’t fully considered their team’s sentiment about the change. Worse, about half said they were just approaching the change 'going on gut'.”

Nothing about the article is false, but I have to argue that there's a greater problem here. Yes, we need to lead with empathy within an organization, but more importantly organizations and companies need to START from a place of empathy. If an organization or company was founded on the principle of empathy, wouldn't this article be a given? On that note, if empathy was engrained in the very nature of our lives, then everything I've said would be a given right?

What took so long? I can only wonder how this all would have been handled differently if Twitter and Facebook were founded and led by #BIPOC individuals. Big #tech is impacting literal matters of life and death. When will it prioritize #humanity over making a few million (billion) more dollars?
