Her journey in disaster recovery began with her role as the Disaster Recovery Coordinator for the Union County Long-Term Recovery Group at the United Way of Greater Union County. In this position, Jennifer provided crucial support to communities affected by disasters, facilitating effective recovery strategies and connecting individuals with necessary resources.
Jennifer’s expertise also extends to her time at the American Red Cross, where she worked as a Community Recovery Specialist, and as a FEMA Crisis Counselor in two separate programs: New Jersey Hope and Healing and Project Rebound. These experiences equipped her with a robust skill set in crisis intervention, mental health support, and the effective communication strategies needed in high-stress environments.

Jennifer’s educational background is as impressive as her career trajectory. She holds a Bachelor of Communication and Information Sciences with a focus on Communication Studies from the University of Alabama. Her undergraduate studies provided her with a comprehensive understanding of human interaction and the power of effective communication in various contexts. Further expanding her horizons, she undertook semester courses in Spanish and Cuban-American Relations at the University of Havana, enhancing her linguistic skills and cultural awareness.
