I'm writing a report on the North South divide in the UK and would love to hear from Southerners AND Northerners of their experiences, motivations and challenges - either of staying put, or packing up and leaving London (and surrounding area) or leaving the North to be close to London.

Are you London-based and dreaming of a life away from the city, using your salary to purchase a cheaper place up in the North with good links to the city?

You've made the move and love or regret it, and why?

Are you a Northerner who's struggling to follow their career dreams at home in the North?

Or have you found that mythical sweet spot of work life balance out of the city and far from the madding crowd? And if so, what's your experience?

Do you think more people are moving back up North? What are your/their experiences?

What do you think about the opportunities in the North?

Any information would be much appreciated. What with the looming recession and time we've all taken to evaluate our lives and what we want, I think huge changes are ahead - again...

Comment below if you have anything to add or direct message.

Thanks so much!
