Last week Friday LEAG, EP Corporate Group and Vestas jointly announced the 105 MW project Forst Briesnig II in Germany. This project is special in many ways:

1.) It is our fist ever project with LEAG, one of the largest lignite power producers in Germany. This is a great showcase of a successful corporate turnaround. 2.) The project will be built in the old lignite mining area in the Lausitz region, helping the region transform towards renewable energy. Check out LEAGs plan for their GigawattFactory! 3.) It is the one of the largest renewabe energy projects in Germany ever built in one go.

We are very thankful that LEAG / EP Corporate Group have chosen Vestas for their big energy transition and our entire team looks forward to the future collaboration!

What a week we have had last week. Our friends in Vestas Offshore closed 2.1 GW of firm orders for our new V236-15.0 MW machine with our customers EnBW, ORLEN and Northland Power. Congratulations to all involved!   In Onshore, we also reached an important milestone: We have announced our very first order for a prototype of the V162-7.2MW in Janneby, Germany - the next evolution of our EnVentus platform. This turbine will be installed in Q2 2024 in Northern Germany and it shares the same architecture as the V172-7.2 MW. Together with the already installed prototype in Østerild in Denmark, the Janneby prototype will enable us to perform rigorous testing of our new turbine to ensure optimized reliability right from the start. Thank you Jan Hagen, Felipe Alexander Ruoff, Patrick Crackow and all the fantastic colleagues that worked to get this prototype off the ground.
