Best non fiction book you’ve ever read…go!
Last night I was at a Mets game and I’m ashamed at myself for not doing what I knew in my heart of hearts was the right thing to do…
As I was leaving, there were a group of Jewish men praying and 2 teens or maybe even older were walking right behind me and as we passed this group the 2 men said “oh look it’s a hymie convention” and kept going pretty much until we got to the exit. I looked back and started them down and so they quieted a bit but I should’ve said something…
I’m embarrassed for not speaking up and I’m ashamed for humanity…would they have made the same comments if any other group was praying? Not sure if anyone else heard their comments but if so, would the comments have been tolerated with any other group?
I’ve made a commitment to myself after last night, that the next time I hear a comment made about any group of people, especially my own, I will stand up despite any consequences…
