Jeremy Singer
Jeremy Singer is the President of the College Board, a position he has held since January 2019.2 In this role, he leads the organization in delivering its mission and serving its members in a financially sustainable way. Singer oversees various programs and departments, including Advanced Placement, SAT, BigFuture, Finance, Technology, Operations, International, Risk Management, Legal, and Global Strategy and Talent.13
Singer has extensive leadership experience in both non-profit and for-profit education organizations. His previous roles include:
- President of Kaplan Test Prep's Graduate, Pre-College, and K–12 divisions
- President of Digital Products for McGraw-Hill Higher Education
- CFO and COO of the Grow Network
- Executive director of Partners in School Innovation3
Singer holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.3
In June 2024, Singer took a temporary leave from the College Board to serve as FAFSA Executive Advisor at the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Federal Student Aid. In this role, he is leading the relaunch of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) program, which is crucial for millions of students and families seeking financial aid for college.6 His responsibilities at the Department of Education are expected to conclude by the end of 2024, after which he will resume his duties as President of the College Board.6
Throughout his career, Singer has focused on improving equity and access for students to achieve success in education.5 He is known for his ability to translate grand visions into manageable goals and for successfully leading complex technology and operational launches, such as the digital SAT transformation.46
