Great insight Chris Novak. According to Verizon’s 2024 Data Breach Investigations Report, "The human element was found to be present in 68% of breaches." According to the same report in 2019, the number was 34%. What most organizations are doing (calling DLP "Insider Risk Management") is not working!

“Fifteen people in the chain of command of the 102nd Intelligence Support Squadron, in which [Jack] Teixeira served, were reprimanded for their inaction that led to the leak.”

“Inaction” is unacceptable. This data could have easily been aggregated and correlated in a secure, confidential and anonymous framework, where the actionable intelligence should have been delivered in a single pane of glass to an analyst. Reducing if not eliminating the risk of "inaction". #insiderriskmanagement #fulcrum #nationalsecurity #veteranswithintegrity
