12 to 4000 people. A few million to 8 billion dollars in funding. A PowerPoint idea materialized into factories, multi-billion dollar contracts, and commercial battery cells operating in actual vehicles. A circular business model initially deemed “naive” now largely adopted by the broader industry and legislators.
It’s been a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I leave equally humbled by the fact that building factories is damn difficult, as I am amazed by the smart, hardworking people that I have met over the years dedicated to overcoming the hurdles, taking Northvolt to where the company is today. This is perhaps especially true for the Communications team, which I take great pride in having recruited.
I will be forever grateful for the trust put in me by Peter Carlsson and the rest of the team, and for the opportunity to play a small part in Northvolt’s journey. I’m sure the road ahead will be just as fun as it will be challenging. The way it should be.
Next year, I will start something new that I’m very excited about. Can’t wait to catch up with my network about this after the holidays.
