Over the past year, I made the intentional decision to pursue contract roles for three key reasons:

Leveraging My Network: I had the chance to reconnect and collaborate with professionals I've worked with over the past 13+ years, strengthening those relationships in meaningful ways.

Achieving Personal Goals: The flexibility of contracting enabled me to achieve personal milestones, like earning a wine certification and soon, becoming a certified meditation instructor.
This journey has been both rewarding and enlightening, equipping me with fresh perspectives and a wealth of knowledge. As I wrap up my current contract, I’ve been reflecting on the benefits—and the challenges—that come with contracting.
🚶🏻♀️Working Solo: While I’ve successfully driven large-scale projects independently, I thrive as part of a team. Contracting meant missing out on a full onboarding experience and working harder to integrate into the culture. Leaving after building connections and contributing felt bittersweet.
🗺️ Navigating Organizations: Just as I found my flow, it was often time to move on. Building bridges has always been one of my strengths, but it’s been an adjustment to think in shorter terms. On the upside, I’ve added many new connections to my network!
🏆 Ownership: I take pride in the work I do, and while that pride never fades, leaving after creating programs, channels, and strategies felt like handing over something precious right after bringing it to life. This has been the toughest part for me.
