We have the results and analysis of the Data Teams Survey 2024! I’ve written an in-depth analysis that you can read. Here are a few of the highlights:
- Data Teams with Data Science and Data Engineering or Data Science, Data Engineering, and Operations created the highest value.
- Data teams don’t appear to be as affected by layoffs. 56.8% of respondents said they’re increasing the size of their data team.
- Despite Gartner saying Data Mesh is obsolete, 20.3% of respondents used it.
- High-value creation teams faced many of the same challenges as low-value creation teams, but high-value teams used far more best practices.
Thanks to everyone who filled out the survey and helped me promote it. It represents a unique look at what’s happening in a vendor-neutral environment.
