This month, Unfiltered: How to Be as Happy as You Look on Social Media turned 6! 🎉

This book has given me so much over the past six years.

When I started out in broadcast journalism, my dream was to make it to the TODAY Show or Dateline. While my reporting career never took me to the networks, this book did.

This book landed me segments on the TODAY Show, GMA3, Access Hollywood, and so many other incredible outlets. 📺

When I wanted to transition my speaking career from schools and nonprofits to the corporate world, this book is what did it. 🎤

When I wanted to elevate my speaking fee, this book gave me the confidence to own my worth. ✨

I’m so grateful for this labor love, which was due the same day as my daughter! That was a fun race against time. 😂

To celebrate this book birthday, I hope you go out and write your book if being an author is on your bucket list. 📕

And I hope you continue living your best unfiltered life when it can be easy to scroll on social media and fall into the compare and despair trap. 📱

Happy birthday Unfiltered! And thanks to all the amazing people who were part of this special book and its fashion week runway. 💃🏻

I recently went rock climbing and realized - rock climbing isn't just about scaling heights - it's full of metaphors for life and creating your next keynote.

Gripping Challenges: Just like every climb has tricky holds, life presents obstacles. Embrace each one as a chance to strengthen your skills and reach new heights.

Finding Your Route: Climbing teaches us that there’s no single path to the top. Similarly, in life and speaking, explore different approaches and find what truly works for you.

Overcoming Fear: The fear of a challenging climb mirrors the fears we face in life and public speaking. Face them head-on, and you'll discover a newfound confidence and strength.

Embrace these lessons and watch your personal and professional growth soar.

What about you? When do you push yourself? When do you slow down to speed up?
