This #WorldHepatitisDay it’s time for action. Globally 1.3 million people each year are dying from viral hepatitis - and mortality is increasing - despite the fact we have effective prevention and treatments available. This is not acceptable. The need for action and comprehensive and fully funded hepatitis programmes has never been more urgent.

It was great to co-chair this incredibly important session on hepatitis and mental health alongside BWAMBALE ARAFAT at the #WorldHepatitisSummit

The overwhelming message from our panellists Matthew Hibbert, Yves Miel Z. and David Urick was that we cannot talk about hepatitis without talking about mental health and truly person centred care means that physical and mental health are addressed holistically.
