Jessica Moraes is an expert in memory, history, industrial and railway heritage (material and immaterial). She holds a degree in Museology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2013) and is currently pursuing a degree in Archival Science at the same university (2016 - 2021). Her expertise lies in Museology and Preservation/Conservation, focusing on the preservation of the cultural heritage of railways in Rio de Janeiro.

She has completed postgraduate studies at Fiocruz, Casa de Oswaldo Cruz, in Preservation and Management of Cultural Heritage in Sciences and Health. Additionally, she holds a Professional Master's degree from the Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation in Rio de Janeiro, researching historical archive management at the Museum of the Train in Rio de Janeiro. Jessica is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Museology and Heritage.

Her professional experience includes working as a Museologist at Faculdades Souza Marques and undertaking internships at various prestigious institutions such as TechnipFMC, the General Attorney's Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Caixa Econômica Federal, Veirano Advogados, Sesc RJ, and Evento X.

In addition to her role as a Museologist, Jessica has also been involved with numerous cultural institutions including Museu Carmen Miranda, the State Institute of Cultural Heritage - INEPAC, Museu do Teatro, Museu Histórico da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro, and Museu da Polícia Militar do RJ.

Jessica Moraes's research interests and practical experience in the preservation and management of cultural heritage make her a highly qualified professional in the fields of Museology and Museum Studies.
