My big win of this week was prioritizing a full day of learning, listening and getting inspired by a room full of powerful moms and allies at the Moms First Summit. From child care to abortion rights to Black maternal health and more, the program was so thoughtful and gave me so many actionable ways to get involved. I felt so lucky to be there alongside some of my favorite Vivvi powermoms Lauren Hobbs and Danielle Wilson, and to see so many of the incredible women I have worked alongside or in partnership with throughout my career. Kudos to Reshma Saujani Molly Day Isabel Miranda and team for gathering such an incredible room of presenters and attendees.
At a time when so many of us are feeling powerless and at a loss of ways to help, I was reminded of all the small ways that I can contribute and advocate and make a difference. In the words of one of my favorite speakers Pooja Lakshmin, MD: "We have to be ok with exerting and going out of our comfort zones. And when we're all doing that then it makes room and gives permission for others."
