Jie Luo

Developer of Quantum Technologies for Computation and Measurement

Jie Luo is a dedicated research professional with extensive experience in the field of quantum engineering and solid-state quantum systems.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics / Applied Physics from the prestigious California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Math from The University of Hong Kong.

During his postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley under the supervision of Prof. Irfan Siddiqi, Jie focused on advanced superconducting quantum processors.

Jie has a strong background in developing cutting-edge hybrid on-chip solid-state quantum systems, ranging from engineered light-matter interactions in nanostructures to pure superconducting circuits with transmon qubits.

With a solid foundation in Python, C++, Julia, Matlab, and various numerical tools, including COMSOL, QuTip, Lumerical FDTD, and MPB, Jie has demonstrated his skills in theoretical and computational quantum physics.

He has a rich history of involvement in academic and research organizations, having worked as a President and Co-Founder at Anyon Computing, a Postdoctoral Researcher at Berkeley Lab and University of California, Berkeley, and as a Research Assistant at Caltech.

Jie's academic journey also includes roles as an Undergraduate Researcher at The University of Hong Kong and as a Summer Researcher at Stanford University and The University of Hong Kong.
