Jill Fehrenbacher is a well-known personality in the design and sustainability industry, best recognized as the founder of Inhabitat and a dedicated green design consultant and freelance designer based in San Francisco.

In 2005, Jill established Inhabitat with a vision to explore innovative ways to enhance the world through advanced, eco-friendly, and forward-thinking design concepts.

Her expertise spans across various domains including marketing, advertising, sustainable design, resilient design, green design, materials sourcing, lighting design, branding and identity design, interactive design, and social media marketing.

Jill's educational background is robust, having studied at prestigious institutions such as Columbia University in the City of New York for M Arch in Architecture, Brown University for a BA in Art Semiotics, and St. Martin's College for an MA in Design Studies.

Prior to her current ventures, Jill held key positions such as Publisher & Editor-in-chief, CEO at Inhabitat.com, Senior Designer at The Design Laboratory at Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design, and Interactive Designer at Digitas.
