Highlights
I’m happy to share that I’ve been promoted to Director of Therapeutics and Innovation at Health Innovation Capital!
Happy International Women’s Day!
Gloria Steinem reminds us, “the story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights."
My mother (and so many other working females from generations before my own) worked incredibly hard to pave the way for me and other females to dream big and have success even in male dominated fields. The collective advancement that women before me contributed towards allowed doors to be open to me- so I could dream big and do things like go to MIT, become a physician scientist, train in radiation oncology, start a non-profit, and transition my career into venture capital.
Although I have noticed at times that I’ve been the only woman in the room, the this trend is slowly changing.
I’m had the privilege of working with so many amazing high achievening female colleagues and mentors.
I’ve been on both sides of the equation, having an amazing mentor like Padmini Salgame while also mentoring others.
To further this incredible movement forward, we have to not only continue to make equality the norm, but we must be fully invested in its agenda and priorities. We must give our time and invest in its future.
On this day, I’d love to recognize the amazing female colleagues I get to work with everyday as part of the Health Innovation Capital team: Praneeti Pathipati and Dr. Krystle Karoscik. Health Innovation Capital truly serves as a leader, creating a diverse and inclusive work environment.
If you are out there thinking about a career in science, medicine, or industry, stop thinking and start acting. Please feel free to reach out, I’m happy to help other women realize their full potential.
