Jim Kerr is a distinguished professional who has held leadership positions at esteemed organizations such as Southern Company Gas and McGuireWoods LLP. It was a thrill for me to participate recently in the Atlanta Hawks Draft Night Party, not only to celebrate the Hawks first number one draft pick since 1975, but also a night to celebrate the city of Atlanta.
It was an exciting evening to share the stage with great friends, wonderful musicians, iconic Atlanta personalities and, of course, the introduction of the team’s first draft pick.
Southern Company Gas and Georgia Natural Gas share a great relationship with both the Hawks and State Farm Arena. Georgia Natural Gas’ multi-year, sustainability-focused partnership with the Hawks was announced in 2023, making it the official natural gas provider for the Hawks and State Farm Arena.
This partnership is yet another example of being a citizen wherever we serve and making lives better through our sustainability efforts.
Earlier this month, I joined my fellow Southern Company Gas officers and colleagues at our May Leadership Forum, where we focused a great deal of time on mental health awareness.
We discussed how best to support one another when it comes to our mental and physical well-being. Our Southern Company Gas leadership team is united in our commitment to fostering a safe and healthy work environment for everyone.
