I am incredibly excited and honored to be invited to the naming ceremony for the “Antonia Maersk” - the third large ocean-going methanol-enabled container vessel of A.P. Moller - Maersk. This is not just another ship; it represents a significant step forward in the ambitious journey toward zero carbon shipping.

The “Antonia Maersk” is a testament to what can be accomplished when we dare to dream big of a better, greener future. This vessel is not just a marvel of engineering but a symbol of courageous leadership to make zero carbon shipping a reality. Every voyage it embarks on will be a journey towards a more sustainable world - proving that with courage and innovation, we can turn our boldest visions into reality.

Here’s to big dreams, bold moves, and the incredible future we can build together.

Congratulations Robert Maersk Uggla Vincent Clerc and the entire A.P. Moller - Maersk team.

In 2020, we set out on an important journey to transform Siemens into a leading technology company that seamlessly combines the real and the digital worlds. Today, we in the Supervisory Board made a few decisions that will help us accelerate our transformation even further.    To start, we are extending the contract of Cedrik Neike, allowing us to continue to benefit from his strong and inspiring leadership. And we’re strengthening the Managing Board by welcoming Veronika Bienert and Peter Koerte as its newest members. Their global experience and leadership will be invaluable for us.    My colleagues on the Supervisory Board and I have unwavering confidence in Siemens’ strategy and leadership team. Siemens is an iconic company whose contributions to society and the world at large are indisputable. With this new Managing Board and the continued dedication of our colleagues all over the world, I know that Siemens will be able to take the next step in value creation.   My Supervisory Board colleagues also proposed that I extend my chairmanship from next February for two years. I am grateful for this trust.
