Don’t give up too soon.
One of the most important pieces of advice I’d give a marketer.
(𝘈𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩, 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦)
I worked for a company a while ago and started a podcast.
It was designed around our target ICP and we invited dream customers on as guests.
The intention of it was to build relationships with target accounts while providing value for the market we served.
It was never intended to be a direct sales channel.
After a few episodes it was killed because it didn’t seem worth the time investment.
👆 What most companies do 👆
Today, it still gets 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 of searches per month.
I often think back on how that was a huge missed opportunity.
It’s ok to sunset programs or initiatives when they truly aren’t providing value.
But, don’t give up too soon.
Many things in business (and life) take time to reach their full potential.
