João pursued his education at various institutions, including a Master's degree in Product Service System Design + Innovation and Product Design from Politecnico di Milano, a Master's degree in Design - Management of Design integration in new companies from Universidade de Aveiro, and a Bachelor's degree in Design of Product and Technology from Universidade de Aveiro. He also spent time at the Deutsche Schule zu Porto.
Throughout his career, João has held key roles in different organizations. He is the Co-Founder and Head of Product & Design at Ubbu. Previously, he served as a Mentor at Lisbon Challenge, Head of Product and Design at Gleam S.A., Founder & Product Design at Dark Matter Collective, and Invited Assistant Professor at Universidade de Aveiro. He also contributed as the Head of Automotive Design at Project DRACO (later Adamastor), Concept Designer and Strategist at BEEVERYCREATIVE - 3D Printing, and in product design roles at Providência Design.
