Jodie Toft is a highly educated professional with a diverse academic background. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at the University of Washington, a Certificate in Interdisciplinary Policy Dimensions of the Earth Sciences from the same institution, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology and Public Policy Analysis from Pomona College, and has also completed the Mystic Seaport Maritime Studies Program at Williams College. Her academic journey began at Garfield High School.

With a wealth of experience in the environmental sector, Jodie Toft has held key positions in various reputable organizations. She served as the Executive Director and Deputy Director at the Puget Sound Restoration Fund, as well as held roles as Interim Director of Marine Conservation and Senior Marine Ecologist at The Nature Conservancy. Jodie's career also includes research and academic roles such as Research Associate at The Natural Capital Project at Stanford University and Grantwriter at Stanford University. She has also contributed her expertise as a Statistical Assistant at the National Marine Fisheries Service, Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Resource Ecology and Fisheries M. Prior to these roles, Jodie was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington, School of Aquatic & Fishery Sciences, and an Aquatic Biologist-Environmental Scientist at Cardno ENTRIX, Inc.
