🌟 If Texas was a country, it would rank sixth in its medal count at the 2024 #Paris Olympics 🥇🤠

Athletes native to or currently residing in Texas account for nearly half of #USA’s gold medals 🥇and over a third of the country’s overall medal count.

As the Paris Olympics near the final stretch, the USA remains in first place with a current medal count of 85, 31 of which have been won by Texans as of this writing. 41 of Texas’ top athletes headed to Olympics Paris 2024.

As Governor Abbott says: “Texas is the home of champions.” 🍾

I am delighted to announce that the UK is signing one of its biggest ever trade pacts with Texas today [Wednesday] in London!

Texas has the second largest US state economy, with a GDP of £1.9 trillion in 2022 – larger than Italy and Canada, making this the UK’s most economically significant trade pact with a US state to date.

Governor Abbott will be on his way to London along with Secretary of State Jane Nelson. Adriana Cruz is already putting the amazing hard work in on the ground ensuring this happens.

This is all thanks to the hard work of Kemi Badenoch and The Rt. Hon. Sir Conor Burns MP - who I have had the pleasure of advising and hosting here in Austin. A brilliant team of pragmatists who have worked tirelessly to get this deal over the line quickly.

As I have said many times before - words are nothing without actions. We, the business and political community, need to now create a strong implementation task force to ensure that the hard work creating this vision is made a reality.

More to come!
