I often share my thoughts on the value of the human condition within the context of our collective journey, symbolized by the metaphor of running and expanding Eastward. This journey, whether in a business or personal setting, is a reflection of ourselves, past and present. To truly become the person you want to be, you must hold yourself accountable for the good and not-so-good decisions that have been made.

While no one is perfect, and those who strive for perfection often find themselves disappointed, unsatisfied, or constantly in doubt about their capabilities, there is a silver lining we all should look for on this journey, and that silver lining is that tomorrow is never promised.

If you seek to understand that we all have limited time, some more than others, you will then be grateful to have the opportunity to step outside of your comfort zone. You will beg at the opportunity to stretch yourself into the next chapter of your life. You will praise the heavens that you can tell the people around you how much you care about them and what value they've brought into your life.

These lessons should not just be sought out in our everyday lives as mothers, fathers, sisters, or brothers but throughout our professional lives as we make connections with people with a promise to support one another—which could translate into me finding you a job, giving you career advice, or finding your company the executive who will create the value you so desperately seek.

Amidst our busy schedules, filled with meetings and travel, we often overlook the simple acts of kindness that can brighten someone's day. It's important to remember to smile at a stranger, acknowledge our coworkers' efforts, and express gratitude to our long-standing clients and mentors. These small gestures can make a significant difference in someone's life.

As we enter into August, I am sure you can agree that this year has flown by, but also the past 5, 10, and 15 years as well…Let us continue to fuel our drive and determination to strive to be the best versions of ourselves, always seeking personal growth and improvement.
