Cancer has robbed all of us. 5 for the Fight is a crowdfunding campaign started by Qualtrics. Its goal is to end cancer. This morning was our annual 5K. I ran today for two great business leaders and friends.

In 2008, Rich Lloyd died after battling glioblastoma. Earlier this year, Shawn Bryant passed away from pancreatic cancer. Both were incredibly valiant in their fight and inspired me and so many others. Cancer robbed their families and this world and I think about them almost every day. Please consider joining me in donating to this or some other cancer fighting charity. Even just $5.

This is my daughter Phoebe (pictured circa 2009 in her orphanage in Wenzhou, China & after a recent volleyball match). Last week in her 7th grade class, she was talked over by someone who said, "shut up Asian girl." (the teacher reacted swiftly and appropriately). I have no idea if this was a terrible joke, a micro-aggression or straight up racism, but Asian hate is not a "manufactured issue" or "fake news" - but is filtering down even to junior high. For young Phoebe and all of my friends in the Asian community, it is a disturbing and shameful reality. We all need to stand up.

Qualtrics' commitment to this and all human rights issues is yet another reason I'm proud to work here. Here's an example: http://qltrcs.co/aapi
