LinkedIn is not normally the place for sharing personal stuff; that said, some things are just bigger than others, and this is a huge adjustment for me.
On July 27, 2024, we lost our Dad, Grandaddy, Uncle and Husband, Joe G. Fox. He was visiting Alaska on a cruise with my mom, Cathy and his granddaughters, Lila and Jewel and their mother, Anna. He had a stroke and was flown from Icy Strait Point to Anchorage for treatment. While there, he fought valiantly to overcome the damage from the stroke. His family flew to his side, and he was welcomed into the Gates of Heaven while surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren’s love. He was cremated and flew home with us and we are planning on a candlelight service this weekend with details to follow. We deeply appreciate all the prayers, thoughts and messages of sympathy and condolence that we’ve received, and we look forward to hearing and sharing stories about him with you over the coming days, weeks and months. Let the love pour in for the man we all loved dearly and who we’ll miss tremendously.
My dad was a rock in my life, a stability and a reference point of what was right and wrong. Losing him is harder than I could have imagined, and there are still harder days ahead. I’ll have more to say about this man I loved in the days ahead but for now - know that we appreciate all the love and support over the last few days and weeks. Dad would have been happy to know he was loved and embarrassed by all the attention. For now, taking care of mom and family and doing exactly what he taught us to do - being there for each other in times of need.
If you’ve been contemplating CCNA training, this is what I’ve used successfully!!
