Launching From Catalunya….
When I published my book, Slalom, two years ago, it was the kind of project I knew I needed to get out of my head and heart and out into the world.
But I hadn’t put as much thought into launching the book from my home in Catalunya where not only was I not doing in-person book events in the U.S. where most of my readers were, but also not sending out signed copies as this cost was (and still is) excruciatingly high.
Last week, I so enjoyed meeting fellow American author and Catalan resident, Michael Thompson, who just launched his wonderful book, Shy By Design.
I loved learning about Michael’s life story and journey to Catalunya. His personal journey and how he shares overcoming his own obstacles becomes an outstanding framework for overcoming your own. The book beautifully lays out this this framework via three major themes featuring 12 principles <— so thoughtful - truly enjoying this book.
While Michael is better prepared than I was to launch his book far from the U.S., I hope our in-person meet-up here in Llançà will help Shy By Design finds its way to just one more person who needs to read this that wouldn’t have otherwise.
