Dr. Joe Oravecz is the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Bridgewater State University, bringing over twenty-five years of experience in higher education.

With a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Florida State University, M.A. in Higher Education & Student Affairs from The Ohio State University, and a B.A. in Psychology from Gettysburg College, Dr. Oravecz has a solid educational background.

Throughout his career, Dr. Oravecz has held various leadership positions in higher education institutions, including Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at Montana State University-Billings and Dean & Chief Student Affairs Officer at University of Nebraska at Kearney.

He has extensive experience in strategic planning, assessment, and accreditation, and has a strong commitment to supporting the success of at-risk students and fostering partnerships with community agencies.

Dr. Oravecz's expertise extends to areas such as undergraduate admissions, financial aid, residence life, student conduct, wellness services, athletics, and student involvement.

In addition to his professional roles, he has also served as a Board Trustee at Billings Public School District and has been actively involved in advising roles at various organizations, including AdvisoryCloud.

Joe's experience as a publicly elected Trustee with the City of Billings School Board of Education, overseeing a large enrollment, reflects his dedication to fiduciary accountability and educational excellence.
