Highlights
With two kids already back in school and another safely returned to college, I guess that’s a wrap on Summer 2024.
While it started with a very painful loss, I was then blessed with some incredible and much-needed celebrations, both personal and professional. All of which I appreciated in a way that I may not have only a few months earlier.
Grief can truly be a gateway to gratitude.
More than ever, I am accutely aware of how fast time is going. Days when we are all together are fewer and fewer with each passing year. So it’s not a cliché when I say it makes me treasure each moment even more.
And while I love the start of a new season - the promise of new beginnings, the hopes for new adventures - I truly will be counting down the seconds until our next family sunset (though that one may be at 4pm!).
MONDAY MOTIVATION, especially to all those PR professionals working on that next pitch! Great stories take time — so hang in there!
Congratulations to Jenny Just and the entire team at Poker Power who are on a mission to teach one million women and girls how to play poker! Not for money, but to learn STRATEGY to help themselves both at work AND in life.
And an even bigger shout-out to the team at Desiree Gruber’s Full Picture - especially Ariel Nathanson and Nicola Phillips who kept watering this seed (for over a YEAR!) until it bloomed into this amazing CBS Mornings segment.
It’s an incredible and empowering message and a story that deserves to be told in as many places as possible.
