Joe Walsh is a highly accomplished individual with a strong foundation in data-driven decision-making. He has pursued extensive education, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International relations, American politics, and econometrics from the University of Alabama. Additionally, he holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Economics from the same institution and another MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Joe completed his undergraduate studies with an AB in Political Science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Throughout his professional journey, Joe Walsh has been actively involved in various organizations, showcasing his expertise in data science and policy analysis. He currently serves as the Co-Founder & Chief Data Scientist at The Exemption Project. He has previously held key roles such as Defense Council at Truman National Security Project, Senior Data Scientist at the Center for Data Science and Public Policy at the University of Chicago, and Forecasting Leader at GE Healthcare. Joe has also contributed to the academic realm as an Eric & Wendy Schmidt Data Science for Social Good Mentor and Fellow at the University of Chicago. Furthermore, he has experience in policy analysis, instructional roles, and business analysis across different sectors.
