An end of an era. I grew up listening to New York City’s WCBS Newsradio 880 as a kid. Sad to see it go, but proud of the 7 years our score helped them define their image... https://lnkd.in/ejpxMaF6

Heartfelt thanks to Ruth Gaviria, Alex Silverman, and Tim Scheld who invited us to create a bespoke theme for this legendary station, and a dozen other stations in the CBS Radio Network. You let me score a part of my childhood.

And to producers Amy C. and Mickey Alexander who made it all happen! Getting the right emotional tone was a big challenge — it had to feel credible and approachable. News, but not newsy. And the radio format meant that our music would play about 20 minutes an hour, 24/7 and 365 days a year. That’s a lot of brain space and a lot of responsibility!! We had to get it right. Grateful for the opportunity and to be part of the legacy!

Oh, and if you like ‘behind the scenes’ footage and if you are a news nerd like me you might enjoy this: https://lnkd.in/e5KQMZDs

In almost every AI-focused conversation with my music & entertainment industry peers, the question keeps arising: is this the end of human creativity? I’d say no. In fact, I’d say we’re only getting started.

I’m excited and honored to be part of this year’s #AISummit New York, and to discuss this important topic with some awesome thinkers that know it best: Disney Streaming's Josephine Hua Pan, Pace University's James Brusseau, and BMG - The New Music Company's Nico Hein.

As a preview of our panel, The Dawn of AI: the end of human in the entertainment industry?, we’ll be discussing:

→ How our industry can embrace #GenerativeAI and use it to our advantage → How we can protect companies & creators in equal measure → Which principles & values should guide the entertainment industry along the way

This'll be a fun one; I’ll see you at the Javits Center! https://lnkd.in/eqRfis6J
