Recently, I had the immense honor of delivering a TEDx Talk at Somaiya University, Vidyavihar. This journey was undeniably extraordinary, and I'd like to share it with you.
When I received the confirmation several weeks ago, I excitedly shared the news with my 50-year-old mother. I expected to explain what TEDx was, but to my surprise, she was already familiar with the TED platform. This revelation only made me contemplate the diverse and multifaceted audience I would soon be addressing, realising that preparing for this talk would be a significant challenge.
It took me a dedicated 40 days to pinpoint the one theme/topic/life story that resonated with me. I ultimately settled on AI, symbolizing Authenticity, Adaptation, Innovation, and Improvisation. I wove together insights from my professional and musical journeys, aiming to create a meaningful narrative.
The process of preparing and scripting the talk was far from easy. It necessitated condensing the essence of my life story into a succinct 14-minute presentation. This pushed me out of my comfort zone in many aspects. I'm profoundly grateful to my spouse for being my green room audience. She supported me during rehearsals by patiently listening to the same script a thousand times, whether we were driving, cooking, before bedtime, or at any available moment. This dedication was always coupled with detailed feedback, which was immensely valuable in shaping my talk.
Having had the privilege of listening to diverse speakers both in the past and on the TEDx Talk day, I can confidently say that the preparation journey to become a speaker transformed me personally and professionally. I am deeply thankful for this extraordinary opportunity and extend my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team that made this unforgettable journey possible.

I'm not a fan of reading or posting long write-ups on LinkedIn. However, I recently completed an MDP titled "The Art & Science of Storytelling" at NITIE (soon to be the 21st IIM), which compelled me to step out of my comfort zone.
Despite the jargon-ish sounding program name, it proved to be the opposite – a lucid framework that any person, regardless of their level, profile, designation, or sector, can relate to and implement from day one. Whether it's in candid conversations or presentations, the concepts are easy to grasp and apply.
Of the many storytellers and their unique way of doing it, Steve Jobs was an absolute master that inspired me. I mean, who hasn't heard his iconic keynote speeches or those candid talks he gave at universities and gatherings?
