Sam's Club ran a promotion for Roblox gift cards earlier this year that caught my attention. They offered discounted gift cards to members for a limited time.

40% off face value, limit 5 each 💳 Gift cards of $25, $30, $50 and $100 available.

This stood out because of the likely audience they reached with the offer; parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles who have kids, nieces, nephews or grandkids who play Roblox vs the players themselves.

A recognition that Roblox is so important to the next generation that the retailer knew it could offer value to existing members with this offer and incentivize new members to join as well.

One Sam's Club member said this in their review: "I have 2 grandsons that love roblox. This is an awesome sale!"

This is a great example of a retailer leveraging Roblox as a way to help parents and beyond show up as the hero of their household 🦸🏼‍♀️

It's also a compelling offer that likely had players telling their family members about it and looking for the club members in their life to make this purchase.

You can develop offers that players will like and benefit from so they can help you incentivize purchase behavior 🛒
