Pulled this image from the Ontario Ministry of Energy "Powering Ontarios Growth" document. It is an image of transmission lines (or lack there of) in a large area of Central Northern Ontario. If you look at the centre of the image, you'll see 2 transmission lines that have a substantial gap between them. That is the heart of a proposed new Indigenous Led project for a Clean Energy Corridor along Highway 11 where a new high voltage Transmission Line must be built. The TCEnergy mainline is already running across that whole area, no gaps. I'm told of a situation where a mill now has to monitor temperatures in Toronto and if the forecast is for more than 30 degrees, they send people home because they know the power demand in Toronto will impact the power available at their factory. This gap and the need for new Transmission (and communications) along Highway 11 sticks out like a sore thumb. Fascinating image don't you agree? We'll be talking with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) about this opportunity. We will also be talking about a distributed biomass fuelled SMART Power Grid network that takes conventional technologies to the next level of utility and connection. Tokyo Smoke creditor protection. I dont know how well the business was run, the Founders were pretty impressive starting with their shop on Adelaide Street. What I do know is that THIS is what happens when LAW ENFORCEMENT and POLICY MAKERS do not protect the integrity of a competitive regulated market. The natural advantages of operating outside the legal lines are too strong. Hon. Mark Holland, PC, MP has done nothing as Minister of Health Canada to protect the legal cannabis market. In fact WHO in the Government of Canada handles the cannabis file these days? Public Safety Canada | Sécurité publique Canada? Office of the Prime Minister of Canada | Cabinet du premier ministre du Canada
Solicitor General | Solliciteur général Ontario Provincial Police Toronto Police Service Michael S. Kerzner what say you? selective law enforcement has not stopped the proliferation of illegal retail, supported by their massive illegal supply chain. There are consequences. BILLIONS of dollars of lost revenue and BILLIONS of dollars of suppressed (or lost) equity values because there is no competitive integrity in the market. There are beneficiaries. Canada makes BILLIONS a year and Ontario hundreds of millions. Entrepreneurs operating illegally have amassed life changing fortunes, rewarded for violating the law on the books. There is more than enough direct funding for law enforcement to cover any increased enforcement costs from fines, seizures, increased taxes from more sales in legal market to pay for enforcement. It must be a conscious political decision to allow the growth of the illegal cannabis business. And frankly, the leadership of once large cannabis companies like Canopy Growth Corporation Tilray Brands, Inc. Organigram Inc deserve serious criticism. What have they done to fight for the integrity of the legal. cannabis market? Has anyone seen a campaign or pushback to demand law enforcement and market integrity? If I owned shares in these companies there would be some hard questions at their AGMs.
The whole launch of legal cannabis in Canada has been botched and no one is being held accountable. The operators and investors in the legal market got crushed. They never had a shot because the illegal market has been allowed to flourish.
The Cannabis Act > punishes those who followed the law, rewards those who didnt. Unless rectified THIS taints the integrity of the federal government policy and decision making. Fool me once.....
