If you've missed me talking about the opportunities and business potential that is circular fashion, well you're in luck!

On Dec 5th I will take the stage in Gothenburg with Peter Algurén and Kristoffer Lundholm to have a conversation about exactly that. I will share the ups and downs of running It's Re:Leased - and why it is that more than six months after having to shut down, our community is still reaching out with love letters.

Note to self: do not ever consider a career in communication, considering magazines are announcing your news before you do.

Just in case you haven’t already heard: It's Re:Leased is shutting down operations. We’ve done our best to explain why that is, in the blogpost linked below.

While it has hands down been the most difficult decision of my life, 48 h after having said it out loud I have finally arrived at a place of feeling nothing but grateful & proud.

Grateful for our community who have completely outdone themselves this time in spreading that love we know them for. For the life of me, I can’t think of when a company shut down and customers sat down to write about how much they’ve meant to them. Giving thanks for the time spent together, even leaving the husband with two kids in the car to quickly browse through our assortment “one last time”.

Proud that countless of people are reaching out asking “now how am I going to get dressed?!” The outpour of unwillingness to go back to shopping as before, means we did it. We did change consumer behavior at its core - because frankly, I remember quite vividly that most people had to try really hard not to roll their eyes at me four years ago.

But there is so much more to be done, to give, to succeed with. This would probably be a fitting time to say “I tried fashion rentals but it doesn’t work”. Unfortunately for you all, I am more convinced than ever about not only the need but also the demand for a new system. I’m now also armed with data, lessons learned, milestones reached - and the outpour of love (and in some cases tears) from our community.

I’m still on that mission, I’m still impatient with the status quo and will continue to disrupt it. What shape and form that takes next, time will tell.

Before you play the music - to the dream team without whom we would still be handling orders in the laundry room from my house: You are the bravest, most dedicated, legendary rockstars I’ve ever come across. You have my undying loyalty and love.  Linn Jonsson Fernsten Hildur Ragnarsdóttir Filippa Frank Zemika Assedal Johanna Falk Willberg Felicia Liabäck Löwstett Joakim Ljungblad

And Annie Thorell: thank you for throwing out all logic and reason and swimming to the deep end with me. I do believe we made some waves.
