Dear CRE research community--we're hiring! Message me if you're interested?
Since leaving CoStar Group in the Spring of 2021, I’ve enjoyed a rare opportunity to take a full summer off and think deeply about what I want to do for the next act of my career. I reconnected with old friends and colleagues, made new friends, and met with firms small and large ranging from private equity to investment management to consulting and research. And I’m pleased to announce that today is my first day with John Burns Real Estate Consulting, where I serve as Senior Vice President focusing on for-rent research and consulting. John and his team's expertise and deep knowledge of U.S. housing coupled with exceptional client service for the past two decades has earned the firm an impeccable reputation and made the firm indispensable to the industry. He’s built a team of the best minds in housing research and created a culture consistently recognized as one of the best places to work. For me, as a professional economist and analyst, there’s no better place to study the great questions about housing: Why are rents rising so quickly? What’s restraining homeownership? Has “affordable housing” become an oxymoron? I’d like to thank all of you out there who took some time to connect with me this summer—many of you who’d never met me before. Your advice, your thoughts, and your friendship mean so much to me, and remind me of the innate goodness in people. Finally, I’d like to say a very special “thank you” to LinkedIn for providing such a great platform for professionals to connect.
