As we're winding 2021 down, we're deep into planning for what's ahead next year. Of course, our fundraising Reg A+ efforts will continue as pre-clinical trials ongoing now have a greater expenditure than our laboratory toxicology and other studies that we previously conducted earlier this year and last year.

We aim to be in clinical trials by the summer of 2022 for our P13K inhibitor and, I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone, but that research effort will incur our highest costs to date. However, assuming we do secure approval from the FDA to advance our research into the clinic, we're extremely excited about the possibilities ahead for the year - and for patients diagnosed with this deadly form of brain #cancer.

Although it's a time to look forward into the new year, it's also a time to look back and reflect on all the advances our research team has made. Of course, there are no guarantees in this line of work but we're committed to doing our best and aiming for the stars.

It takes tremendous effort, dollars, and access to advocate for a cause and move the needle. Teamwork, innovation, and a tenacity of "never quit" as a fueling mantra are essential ingredients.

In this era of influencers, you'd think that one or two celebrity deaths from #glioblastoma would be enough to spark change, spur fundraising, unlock government grants, and give hope to patients.

You'd think so. But no.

Not even nine notable celebrity deaths have been "enough" to put glioblastoma on the radar to get the attention and research funds desperately needed to change the prognosis of this horrible disease.

Even our President's first-born son died of glioblastoma. Plus two Senators. And still, funding is limited. Why is that?

Is "10" celebrity deaths the right number? Is crossing the 250,000 annual deaths of non-celebrities "enough?" What number is "enough?"

From our perspective at Global Cancer Technology - ONE is enough. Celebrity or not. One death that could be prevented altogether or at least significantly delayed is enough. Everyday, that's what we fight for.

We want a cure. But we'd welcome a successful treatment with open arms. And that's why we're teaming up with some of the best researchers and clinicians in the world testing not one - but three - novel approaches to treat this deadly disease.
