O.K. That’s it. I’m done .  After 32 years of growing brands at PVH, it’s coming to an end.  My last day will be Tuesday.   What makes an ending important...must be...that something impactful happened before that ending.    Yes, we grew a company from $1 billion to $10 billion.  Yes, we acquired companies as big as our own and integrated them successfully. We launched brands and categories. We became fully global.  We built a culture where people could thrive.  And yes, we were the caretakers for some brands that were around before we were born and will be around long after we are gone.     But that something impactful wasn’t those accomplishments.    That something impactful was the hundreds (maybe even thousands) of people that I have come to know over that time – coworkers, retailers, and vendors.    Some simply came and went without much notice.  Some became the closest of coworkers.  Some you just couldn’t help but admire.   And many became friends.    Yes, we had fun. Yes, we went to great events; we found our Sanctuary; we met many Legends. We raised tremendous amounts of money for charity. We had some hellacious happy hours.  We allied our Pride.  We took Indy to new heights. We travelled the world. We spoke Swedish. We sat in great seats. We did the right thing.    We had fun. We supported each other. We were accountable. And more often than not, we won.   Before I go on to something new, I want thank you to my friends, my coworkers, and my colleagues.   I’ve spent me entire adult life working for PVH. PVH was like an undercurrent throughout my life. I learned so much from so many of you. I sought your guidance and your friendship on so much more than business and for that I am very grateful.   You were that something impactful that makes the ending important.

An inspirational story I saw from PCRF.

LYNDEN'S LOTUS BRACELETS Meet Lynden, a 7-year-old cancer fighter with a passion for helping others. She wanted to give back to other kids fighting cancer too so she started making bracelets during her treatments. Each bracelet is made with love by Lynden, her Mom, and friends & family with 100% of the proceeds going to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation! Lynden sold hundreds of bracelets and raised over $10,000 in the first month alone for pediatric cancer research -- and she is just getting started! While fighting stage III cancer, Lynden and her family have hosted a lemonade stand, a dinner party, and a virtual silent auction. Through the power of community and social media, Lynden’s story has touched the lives of so many in a short time. She now has raised almost $30,000 – all in the name of pediatric cancer research.
