Dr. John W. Hodge is a highly respected figure in the field of education, known for his focus on student achievement and closing the achievement gap. He is the president and co-founder of the Urban Learning and Leadership Center (ULLC), a key organization in this space.

With a rich and diverse background in education, Dr. Hodge has held various roles including reading teacher, English teacher, AVID teacher, assistant principal, and associate director of the AVID Center Eastern Division. He has also served as the director of An Achievable Dream Academy, a high-performing school serving underprivileged students.

John's academic journey includes earning a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina A&T State University, a Master of Arts degree from Chapman University, and a Doctor of Education degree from Virginia Tech. His doctoral research focused extensively on factors influencing the academic success of economically disadvantaged children.

Dr. Hodge's expertise lies in translating research and theory into practical strategies for educators in rural, urban, and suburban schools.
