John Pestian

Prof and Endowed Chair of Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Biomed Informtcs Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Joint Faculty Oak Ridge National Lab

John Pestian is an accomplished individual with a strong background in inventing artificial intelligence tools to address mental illness, supported by over 150 peer-reviewed publications and 20 patents/patents pending.

His expertise lies in converting AI into solutions utilized by hospitals, clinics, and schools for early identification of various mental illnesses and suicidal ideation.

Pestian holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Health Services from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from Saint Francis University, and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Franciscan University of Steubenville.

He previously served as a Professor of Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Biomedical Informatics, as well as the Director of Computational Medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
