Highlights
Wow, what an incredible and inspiring Zero100 experience in #Miami last week!
Truly, the “Davos” of supply chain excellence, attended by great leaders from some of the world’s greatest companies, and full of thought-provoking dialogue about the issues that will shape the future of supply chain – technology, regulation, geo-political uncertainty and, overwhelmingly, the transformational and disruptive force of AI and machine learning across every aspect of how we live and work.
The Right Honourable Tony Blair sparked a candid conversation about AI in particular, highlighting the delicate equilibrium between prudence and enthusiasm. Governments grapple with the task of safeguarding citizens and the environment from AI risks, all while fostering innovation to address societal and economic challenges for all.
I had the pleasure of hosting a panel session on Accelerating Your Journey to Supply Chain Excellence with Emma Rolfe(Colgate-Palmolive), Mike Carabok (Mars), Andrew Rendich (Peloton Interactive) and Javier Varela (Volvo Cars). They each shared incredible insight into their own digital transformation journey, discussing their experience navigating the intricacies of implementing new models and advancing organizational maturity swiftly and effectively.
My biggest takeaway? Really, a resounding confirmation of something I’ve believed in for a long time now – incrementalism is dead. Leaders simply aren’t looking for a step change – almost universally, the call is for a generational change in how we manage our global supply chains.
A massive thank you to everyone involved. It was a pleasure to participate, and the experience will fuel many conversations, and much progress to come.
