Jonathan M. Brayman is a seasoned attorney with a focus on criminal defense, civil rights actions, civil asset forfeiture defense, class actions, and civil litigation at Breen & Pugh.

With a track record of securing acquittals for clients facing serious charges such as murder, armed robbery, and criminal sexual assault, Brayman has also excelled as an appellate lawyer, securing reversals and new trials for clients.

He currently holds positions on the Board of Directors for the NACDL and the IACDL, and serves on the Justice Council for Northwestern University's Center on Wrongful Convictions.

Prior to joining Breen & Pugh, Brayman litigated Section 1983 civil rights cases at the Law Offices of Thomas Peters and played a pivotal role in successful class actions challenging unconstitutional practices, securing substantial settlements.

Jonathan's legal experience spans working on federal death penalty cases, clerking for federal judges, and contributing to high-profile trials such as the 'Family Secrets' trial in Chicago.
