I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that I'm starting a new position at Gibson Brands, Inc. as an Email Marketing Specialist.
Getting to work with this iconic brand as they build up their digital marketing arm is literally a dream come true. My first guitar hero was Jimmy Page, and my first ever guitar was a (knockoff) Les Paul. From spending hours at Guitar Center as a kid to walking into Chicago Music Exchange and seeing the Gibson Wall for the first time, I've idolized Gibson. Now I'm working for them. It's crazy.
What makes this moment even more surreal and gratifying is the struggle I've had the last 4 months of job searching. Being laid off during a pandemic sucks. I applied to 162 jobs and wrote 105 cover letters. I constantly questioned my worth, my skills, and even my career path. But I kept grinding, and in the final week got 3 offers and my dream job. So to those of you in the same boat - it will get better. I'm so excited for this next chapter.
