Page is a globally recognized cannabis scientist.3 He co-founded Anandia Labs, a cannabis biotechnology company in Vancouver, and served as its CEO.13 Aurora Cannabis later appointed him as Chief Science Officer.3 Page co-led the Canadian team that first sequenced the cannabis genome and helped discover the biochemical pathways leading to major cannabinoids.3 He has 37 peer-reviewed publications.3 Jonathan Page's papers have appeared in PNAS, The Plant Cell, and Genome Biology.1 He serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Consortium for Investigation of Cannabinoids and participates in discussions of cannabis policy and regulations.1

Page obtained his BSc (1991) and PhD (1998) from the University of British Columbia.1 He was an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Munich (1998-99) and a Group Leader at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry in Halle, Germany (1999-2003).1 From 2003 to 2013, he worked as a Senior Research Officer at the National Research Council’s Plant Biotechnology Institute.1
