Highlights
🎂 Today, Ring Twice celebrates its 11th birthday!
👨🎓 What started as a student project 12 years ago became a real company on February 5th 2013 (my business partner Christophe would argue that we were not a 'real' company at that time since we were barely making revenues, but still). I'm not going to write 11 anecdotes to celebrate the 11th birthday (sorry Justine and all my fanbase on LinkedIn #Swifties) but I still wanted to share a few things I realized:
💪 Resilience: Entrepreneurship is not easy. I felt we went through a lot already and showed impressive resilience in the first years of our journey, but the last few years definitively did not spare us. Having to reduce the size of the team last year for instance, has been really challenging on a personal level;
🔄 Pivot(s): Not more than a year ago, we changed our business model (yes, it still happens after 10 years!) to a hybrid model, allowing people to choose for a one shot model (commission) or longer-term commitment (subscription). Conversions drastically grew, so did user satisfaction. But the new model is challenging in terms of profitability (+30% Transactions, stable revenues). The environment is changing, be prepare to adapt. It's a never-ending game;
🔥 Growth challenges: What drives me is the real growth challenges. Not to slightly improve conversions rate here and there. At Ring Twice, we want to make a real difference. We've some really exciting projects in the pipe (stay tuned!) that can really allow us to write a new chapter and allow everyone to grow. It's crucial to keep that flame alive that makes you want to go to the office.
🔢 And because I'm a number guy, who loves people, here is a few numbers about Ring Twice today:
- 30M€ went through the platform already. More than 7M€ last year only;
- We currently acquire more than 5.000 New Clients per month, in Belgium only (for now 😉);
- 38% of our business comes from recurrency (same client working via the platform with the same service provider);
- We have 650.000 people registered on Ring Twice. Yes, it's a vanity metric, but it's our birthday, so I'm allowed to brag about it 🤷♂️
So, today, the little ListMinut becomes the grown-up Ring Twice, with many exciting years ahead!
PS: Thanks Coddy for the picture (and the nice team building)
