When I saw that Google ads had the high likelihood to outperform FB ads I stopped experimenting with other marketing channels...I upped the budget on the Google Ads and sharpened my focused on it.

What am I doing now?

Do I still run Google Ads? No, I shut them down back in 2023 for a few reasons:

#1 Their effectiveness was decreasing.

#2 The amount of referrals I was getting was increasing...

Will this exact marketing strategy work for you?

Maybe...but maybe not...things are always changing in the marketing world.

Google Ads costs were rising for me, but there's a lot of variables and with the right strategy, they MIGHT be very effective for you.

What should you do if you want to run paid ads for your biz?

I'd recommend buying some courses, AND/OR hiring the right marketing firm to help you out with this.

Reach out to me if you'd like recommendations.

What strategy would I execute on if I wanted to run paid ads again?

I'd start Google ads back up, but I'd focus on my local area to keep costs under control.

In going nationwide, I'd try my hand at running paid ads here on X.

The SMBX community here is awesome and those are my prospects.

Also paid ads here on X are fairly cost effective.

I believe my success in this area of biz growth comes down to two things:

#1 The willingness to try new things / experiment

#2 Halting experimentation when something starts working and focusing on what actually is working.

I hope this helps shed some light on a few areas where I found success with growing my biz.

If you need any assistance or referrals to a marketing firm that could possibly execute on this for you don't hesitate to reach out!

I was part of an online program teaching accountants to run better firms. It suggested running FB ads, (I had moderate success at this).

But the REAL success came from me GOING ROUGE and trying my hand at Google Ads, which lead to AMAZING ROI

But I didn't do it alone

Step 1 for me was to buy a course on Google Ads.

I went with @AdVenturePPC 's course

I lucked out...that course was GREAT...but they said we needed to learn landing pages as well...

Step 2 was that I bought a landing page course from the same company.

It was a home run

I put it all together and in about a week and a half I closed my first sale and had made 6 times what I spend on the ads.

That's a quick turn around!

Here's the thing

What I sold that day was just a one time project...

In the future I'd go on to sell recurring projects...that is where the real ROI comes in...

The average client lifespan in my industry for recurring revenue is 5 years (very nice).

Don't get me wrong

My training program did a great job of teaching me how to run a great accounting firm...but...

If I had never experimented outside of their teachings I wouldn't have the amazing clients I have today, nor the size of firm I have today.
