The heartbreaking surge in violence against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (#AAPI) has been on my mind a lot lately. As a Korean national, I have spent the better part of my life in the United States, made friends and family of incredible people here, and have found myself slowly calling this place home. But my privilege and fortune in having my voice heard by those who support me is neither ubiquitous nor to be taken for granted.
In the interest of raising the voices of those in the AAPI community as well as those of our allies, I have the distinct pleasure of sharing the #StopAsianHate Essay Contest that my friend Gloria Li has spearheaded in organizing.
