Legacy PBMs are simply stealing from employers and their team members. I don’t know how you read this article and say “wow, I want to work with actors like that”. They have gotten away with it for decades but there’s a better alternative now. It’s also 30% of total healthcare spend and growing, so you can’t just ignore it or say it’s too complex to examine.
“They’re seeking to extract from the system, without creating any corresponding value for the system,” said Dave Yost, the Republican attorney general in Ohio.”
A PBM needs to be 100% financially aligned and take care of members. Anything else is the industry giving you the legacy runaround.
