Jorge Garza is a passionate advocate for place-based innovation, social transformation, and international development, with a strong belief in the power of human potential to drive bold actions for positive change. His interests span across innovation, collaboration, justice, food, and history. With a diverse educational background, including a Master's degree in Urban Planning from McGill University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Jorge has equipped himself with a broad skill set. He has also pursued certificates in Project Management from the University of Toronto, Public Policy Analysis from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and philanthropic management from Université de Montréal. Throughout his career, Jorge has held various roles in prestigious organizations, such as Associate Director at Tamarack Institute for Community Engagement, Program Officer at Metcalf Foundation, and Manager of Cities, Climate Transitions at Tamarack Institute for Community Engagement, among others. His experience includes working on community building, climate transitions, and urban planning, showcasing his dedication to creating inclusive and sustainable communities.
