Highlights
The performance paradox: Wearing shoes, packaging stuff in boxes, driving an electric car, everyone from the manufacturer to the OEM to end consumer expects that the application holds until it is not needed anymore. Shoes until you find a new desired one, packaging until the goods are delivered, battery cells must sit tight without getting loose even after 10 years of driving over bumpy roads! Safety and performance are the "drivers" here! But when the application is becoming waste going to be recycled, everyone from the policy makers to the OEM to the general society expects that materials fall apart at the snap with fingers. "Recycability" drives the mindset. A true paradox of expectation or a true source of innovation for PU materials? Get inspired by my colleague Anna Cristadoro!
I was electrified to see our researchers sharing their sustainable developments on materials, coatings and coolants designed for E-mobility with representatives from the scientific media during our research press conference on Thursday, December 9th. If you want to get electrified too, take a deep dive on my blog!
